The New and The Old

Before I came to Converse I had a different set of responsibilities then the ones I have here. I also had different focuses in my life. Since I've been here I have become more focused around my music. (obviously since I'm a music major). I don't feel like I've changed as a person since I've been here it has just been adjusting to my new surroundings. I still hold on to the same values, still have the same personality, and still have the motivation and drive to succeed. I've just changed my course a little bit. I sort of had it backwards when I arrived. I came with everything planned out and knew exactly what I wanted to do. Now that I'm here I'm not sure that's what I really want. So, its not that I've changed so much its that the change is about to happen. I don't know what it will bring but I hope it'll be for the better. I can't really comment on the future because I don't know whats in store. But what I can say is bring it on.

  1. Kathleen, it's totally ok to not know what you're future is going to be. And here's the big secret: NONE of us know what our future is going to be, we just have hopes, work, luck, and a heavy helping of "out of our control." And that's ok.

  2. You haven't changed at all, Kathleen, and I'm really glad because I have noticed that some people do change with their surroundings, and when I first arrived here in August, I was afraid that you might different from the girl I knew on the Summer Adventure because of the different surroundings. But happily, you were still the same fun-loving, energetic, achieving tomboy I had grown to know and love.
And I feel the same way as you with regard to having everything planned out when you first came. Things have changed for me, too, and I do not know what I want to major in now. I have no clear idea of what my future should or will be, but I admire your brave spirit in saying "Bring it on!" Best of luck in your discoveries!
